The company presents solutions and provides services within all major programmes: Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Aeronavali and Nordam.\nDuring these years, Axist is involved in the Airbus project, using laser trackers to automate the aeronautical riveting system for the assembly of the Airbus A380 fuselage, while also delivering dimensional testing and assembly support for the fuselage lamination mandrels of the new Boeing 787. From that point onwards, a team of Axist technicians operates on a permanent basis at the Grottaglie site, where they are also responsible for flight-part measurements and analysis of the collected data.\nIn the same period, the company continues its activities in the automotive sector and, in order to pursue new opportunities, opens its Romanian branch in Sibiu.\nAxist\u2019s equipment portfolio is expanded with the introduction of a laser radar, complementing the 10 laser trackers already in use within the company. In particular, it becomes a shareholder of the Cetma research centre in Brindisi, focusing on new calibration systems for machine tools and augmented reality systems.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cp-timeline-content-timeline-child swiper-slide\"><div class=\"timeline-content icon-false\"><div class=\"timeline-block-timeline ctl-row  position-left\"><div class=\"ctl-6 timeline-block-time\"><div class=\"story-time\"><p>2016<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"timeline-block-icon\"><svg stroke=\"currentColor\" fill=\"currentColor\" stroke-width=\"0\" viewbox=\"0 0 512 512\" height=\"1em\" width=\"1em\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><path d=\"M256 8C119 8 8 119 8 256s111 248 248 248 248-111 248-248S393 8 256 8z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"ctl-6 timeline-block-detail\"><div class=\"story-details\"><div class=\"story-content\">\n<p class=\"ctlb-block-desc translation-block\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">In 2016, Axist expands its activities by adding topography, photogrammetry and aerial photogrammetric surveying services, employing highly skilled engineers and equipping itself with state-of-the-art instruments, software and methodologies.\nThe company operates a dedicated team in Toulouse (FR) responsible for the operational and technical management of non-conformities on the final assembly line of the ATR 72\/42.\nThrough Alto LLC, its Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary, Axist is responsible for all measurement activities involved in the construction of the Dubai observation wheel, the largest in the world, with a diameter of 210 m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ctlb-block-desc translation-block\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">In the 2017\u20132019 period, Axist carries out photogrammetric surveys of the primary mirror of the Sardinia Radio Telescope, which has a diameter of 64 metres.\nOver the last two years, the R&amp;D department has been further strengthened to develop robotic measurement systems: the robot becomes a fully fledged measuring machine, replacing traditional inspection gauges for in-line production.\nDuring the same period, Axist increases its involvement in the ITER programme, working both for suppliers and directly for the organisation at the Cadarache site (FR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ctlb-block-desc\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">Axist develops an automatic measurement system for CERN in Geneva, designed to measure the magnetic field distribution within large-scale magnets.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cp-timeline-content-timeline-child swiper-slide\"><div class=\"timeline-content icon-false\"><div class=\"timeline-block-timeline ctl-row  position-right\"><div class=\"ctl-6 timeline-block-time\"><div class=\"story-time\"><p>2019<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"timeline-block-icon\"><svg stroke=\"currentColor\" fill=\"currentColor\" stroke-width=\"0\" viewbox=\"0 0 512 512\" height=\"1em\" width=\"1em\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><path d=\"M256 8C119 8 8 119 8 256s111 248 248 248 248-111 248-248S393 8 256 8z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"ctl-6 timeline-block-detail\"><div class=\"story-details\"><div class=\"story-content\">\n<p class=\"ctlb-block-desc translation-block\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">The Axist e-commerce project is launched (www.MetrologyStore.com), aimed at the online sale of tools required for measurement instruments.
